I've been scouting around the internet, wondering where the heck Derpy is in season three, and I found something that may grab yer attention.
[link][link]I dunno if this is true, cuz here are my statements:
1. If Apple DID censor and edit it without permission from Hasbro or Studio B, is the censored version still airing in reruns on the Hub? (I don't watch reruns of MLP on the Hub, so I wouldn't know.

)
2. Is this true? I know Amy (The writer of that episode) got those emails (at least I think so) So... wait, did those over protective parents email stuff to Hasbro, the Hub, or Apple?? I SERIOUSLY DON'T KNOW.
3. I'm not sure if it WAS hasbro or Studio B who made that scene, and I'm not sure on other stuff either, cuz if you noticed the censored Derpy scene, she DERPS in a few of them and the voices of Rainbow and Derpy sound SLIGHTLY stuffy. (either that, or I may be wrong on that one.) It looks like a crappy poor edit done by 4KidsTV. (Note, I'm NOT saying 4Kids had anything to do with it. I'm just setting up an example.)
Wait. Maybe THIS PIC may have more sense:

Maybe it WAS apple who edited and not any other company. ... Well, I'll never know for sure. What do YOU guys think? AM I wrong on this? Or is the links above wrong too? Anyway, if you have more juicy info to add in, or to correct, or anything else, comment below, and believe me, I'm ALL EARS. Thanks.

Edit: Most of

's info seems pretty legit. But thw word legal is getting to me. Legal stuff? Now it's ILLEGAL to say DERPY in the show now?!?! ... DAMMIT SOCCER MOMS AND PARENTS HUSHING THE WORLD FROM KIDS. YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Hasbro will most likely avoid running the original episode to avoid legal matters on their side. Meaning the censored one will air as a re-run.
2. Apple was the first to recieve those angry letters. As for why Apple first, I don't know. But eventually Hasbro began getting those letters, and then legal matters supposedly happened. Anything past that is kept behind closed doors, but what is known is that the 'censored' episode was a result of it.
3. The official reason according to Hasbro AND Studio B is that the original Derpy scene (S1 E1) was an animation error. The popular reason why we saw Derpy later in the series, was that Hasbro wanted to milk the popularity of Derpy for the extra cash.
The edit could've simply been made quickly to replace the original episode's digital file, to avoid having the wall-eyed pony being seen in a re-run even though parents were told it would never happen again.
As for who made the edit, it couldn't have been Apple. Apple only had rights to sell the episode on iTunes, and to edit it to remove the ad pauses. (The moments when a scene appears to be repeated twice after a quick fade to black are the results.) Studio B most likely edited it, and therefore probably made the voice acting mistake.
Thanks for the info anyway.
If parents would actually be parents and do something with their kids and not sit them infront of a tv, computer, or gaming system and let that teach them the values of life there wouldn't be this problem. All of a sudden all this "censorship" is popping up because parents are realizing their lack of attention to their child has them asking question, or they are just (in the most case) looking for something to sue over.
Its ridiculous, its a CARTOON! Its for KIDS! Let children enjoy it. Do you honestly think the targeted age group of children for MLP:FIM cares about a pony like Derpy? No they just think shes a silly pony that does silly things. Nobody censored Goofy or even Donald Duck. I mean if you really want to whine about something to censor horrid parents there you go, a duck running around without pants and a dog that physically gets beat to a pulp continuously.
Unfortunately as long as people fine things "unethical" in their opinion and eyes (no matter how dumb that may be to the rest of the general audience) censorship is going to continue happening. Its just easier to blot out or remove something then get sued for thousands up to millions of dollars. Sure its not fair nor is it pretty, but in all honesty it all boils back down to the parents and their lack of attention and greed.
There said my peace off I go back to ponyland.....
I completely agree. =\
To bad kids shows are coming to such extents.
